Photo pages on each production page
These will be changed soon to link to our photostream on Flickr - I am able to upload more photos to flickr than I can on this site and by doing this I will also free up some space on our account for other future pages.
The first plays to have this done will be Slaughterhouse, It Runs in the Family and Improbable Fiction - this is because there are sets on flickr already for each of these plays.
In the meantime our flickr photostream can be found at the following :-

THE CURSE OF âTHE SCOTTISH PLAYâ STRIKES
Itâs always been said in theatrical circles that Shakespeareâs âMacbethâ is unlucky and even the mention of the name is frowned upon but it would seem to also apply to derivations thereof as Blackburn Arts Clubâs planned first play of the season âThe Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomenâs Guild Dramatic Society Production Of Macbethâ has had to be cancelled due to unforeseen and unavoidable production problems.
A club spokesman said âWe hope no-one feels bitterly disappointed but to soften the blow we intend to stage a version of A.R. Gurneyâs play âLove Lettersâ although the short notice means it will only be shown over two nights rather than the usual five â so please book to avoid further disappointment!â
âLove Lettersâ has been described as a unique and imaginative piece based around letters exchanged over a lifetime by childhood friends who go their separate ways but still share confidences. What emerges from their letters is an evocative, touching, frequently funny but always telling character study in which what is implied is as revealing and meaningful as what is actually written down.
The play will run at the Gibraltar St theatre on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th Sept at 7.30pm. For ticket details phone 01254 664642 or 52910.
